Vicinity releases 2020 sustainability update

Today we have released Vicinity Centres' 2020 sustainability update via our dedicated microsite – Vicinity Unwrapped: Our Sustainability Story.

We are proud of what we have achieved over the past year, from progressing towards our net zero carbon emissions by 2030 target* for our wholly-owned retail assets, contributing $5.6 million in value to community investment, including $730,000 towards national bushfire relief and recovery^, addressing modern slavery risks in our supply chain through our Responsible Procurement Action Plan, and progressing our commitments to the indigenous community under our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan.

Visit our dedicated microsite to read about our sustainability achievements, case studies and performance over past year, and how we are creating sustainable destinations that shape better communities.

* For our wholly-owned retail assets. In line with Zero Carbon measurement recommendations, this applies to common mall areas.

^ Includes direct cash donations to impacted communities and organisations supporting bushfire relief and recovery, in-kind contributions such as staff time and mall space, and foregone revenue.
