Development

Our communities have choice. They decide where to spend their time, where to meet with friends, where to come together as a family, where to purchase the things they need. When someone in our local community leaves their driveway and can choose whether to turn left or right, we want to make sure that we’re the destination at the end of that journey; again and again.

We have a current pipeline of $3.2 billion (Vicinity share: $1.8 billion) of retail development and mixed-use opportunities. Our investment is focused on Australia's three largest and growing CBDs on the east coast, in key metropolitan markets and around transport hubs; locations ideal for both retail and mixed-use developments. We target to spend ~$300 million per annum with target stabilised development yields of 6-8%+ and IRR of 10%+.

The Glen, VIC

  • $430 million total project cost
  • Four stages have opened - final stage to be completed in late FY20
  • Stage 1: a new Aldi, Coles and Woolworths anchor a fresh food market hall
  • Stage 2: a new food gallery with sweeping views of the Dandenong Ranges
  • Stage 3: H&M and UNIQLO anchor a new homewares, lifestyle and fashion mall
  • Stage 4 opened August 2019: new-format David Jones, 60 speciality stores and alfresco dining
