Pipeline: Buranda Village
Brisbane's newest retail, residential and working precinct

Vicinity kicked-off 2022 with a bang, revealing its latest plans to transform Buranda Village into a bustling new mixed-use precinct of the future.

Designed in consultation with a leading local architecture provider, the new Buranda Village will employ an architecture that is best suited to the Southeast Queensland climate while providing an abundance of landscaped public realm space for residents, shoppers and workers to enjoy.

Vicinity's commitment to sustainability is evident in its plans for Buranda Village with the project targeting a 5-Star Green Star award and utilising initiatives such as solar energy systems, sustainable travel facilitation and passive design strategies.

Subject to approvals, the first stage of the redevelopment of Buranda Village may commence as early as late 2023 with delivery expected to take two years.

Retail

Buranda Village has served its local community for almost 50 years and will now be redeveloped to better suit future customer needs.

Vicinity's plans for Buranda Village's retail precinct will replace the current shopping centre with a new laneway-based, open-air retail and dining village complemented by beautifully landscaped public spaces.

The new 8,200 sqm retail and dining village will feature a selection of carefully curated brands and provide dedicated parking solutions for customers.

Residential

New to Buranda Village will be approximately 600 apartments spread across four buildings.

A mix of one, two, and three-bedroom floor plans, Buranda Village's residential spaces will cater for a diverse cohort of future residents while providing unparalleled amenity with the retail precinct directly below.

Located just 5 kilometers south from Brisbane CBD and a stone's throw from the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Boggo Road Research and Innovation Precinct, Buranda Village's residential spaces offer a convenient and well-located base for local workers to live.

Office

Located next to the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Boggo Road Research and Innovation Precinct and with a growing list of transport options to the nearby Brisbane CBD, Buranda Village offers a unique and convenient workspace solution for a variety of businesses.

The redevelopment proposal includes approximately 50,000 sqm of commercial office space spread across three buildings. Maintaining Vicinity's commitment to Sustainability, the A-Grade commercial space is targeting a 5-Star Green Star rating and will include state-of-the-art End of Trip facilities to encourage sustainable commuting.
